About the Role
As an SEO Project Lead (SEOPL) at Ralecon, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our clients’ SEO campaigns. Reporting to the SEO Team Lead (SEOTL), you will oversee the execution of off-page and execution of on-page and technical SEO strategies. You will lead a team of SEO Executives (SEOEs), ensuring that all tasks are completed with precision and align with client objectives and industry best practices. Your role will involve proactive client communication, strategic planning, and meticulous project management within Zoho Projects to achieve exceptional results.
Job summary
The SEO Project Lead (SEOPL) is responsible for the efficient execution of SEO strategies, ensuring they meet client expectations and deliver measurable results. Key responsibilities include:
- Task Management: Assign, review and oversee off-page SEO tasks to SEO Executives (SEOEs), ensuring tasks are completed within defined timelines and as per client deliverables.
- On-Page SEO Management: Execute comprehensive on-page SEO strategies to enhance website rankings. Gather and analyze on-page SEO data to assess performance and make informed recommendations for optimization.
- Quality Control: Review completed and pending off-page SEO tasks, ensuring adherence to SEO best practices and client requirements.
- Project Tracker Maintenance: Maintain the “Project Tracker” and periodically update the completion status of on-page, off-page, and other project activities.
- Achieve Deliverables: Ensure all project deliverables are achieved in accordance with client expectations and agreed-upon timelines.
- Website Issue Identification: Monitor websites weekly to identify SEO issues, prioritize fixes, and collaborate with the team to implement solutions.
- Plan of Action (POA) Execution: Implement action plans derived from SEO audits, ensuring tasks are executed with deadlines and goals are met.
- Reporting: Prepare and review weekly and monthly reports on SEO performance, providing actionable insights to the SEO Team Lead (SEOTL) and Digital Account Managers (DAMs).
- Content Topic & Outline Preparation: Prepare outline for content topics as per client deadlines, ensuring alignment with SEO strategies and client requirements. Subsequently, deliver content to Digital Account Managers (DAMs) for client approval and implementation.
- Development Task Management: Assign, oversee completion, and quality-check development tasks, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
- Monthly Review Preparation: Gather and analyze data for monthly performance reviews, providing insights and recommendations for ongoing optimization.
- Weekly Goal & Traffic Review: Assess and review weekly goals, traffic trends, and user data, making adjustments to strategies as necessary to meet objectives.
- Keyword Performance Review: Analyze weekly keyword performance data, identify trends, and recommend adjustments to improve SEO effectiveness.
- Rank Checking: Review and analyze ranking sheets from SEO Executives (SEOEs), identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Zoho Tasks Management: Utilize Zoho Projects for task execution, ensuring accurate tracking of project progress and deadlines.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Digital Account Managers (DAMs), Web Development teams, Design and Content teams to align SEO strategies with broader digital marketing objectives. Collaborate with the respective team and all internal stakeholders to ensure deliverables are completed within the agreed budget and timelines.
- Continuous Improvement: Continuously monitor industry trends and algorithm updates, recommending and implementing adjustments to SEO strategies to maximize ROI and client satisfaction.
- Project Load: Manage a portfolio of at least 6 client projects simultaneously, ensuring efficient resource allocation and project success.
- Escalation Management: Take prompt action to resolve client escalations. Ensure that issues are escalated to the appropriate levels within the organization for swift resolution and client satisfaction. Handle internal team member escalations effectively, ensuring all concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
- Follow-up Communication: Rigorously follow up with all internal stakeholders to ensure SEO deliverables are completed within the agreed budget and timelines. Must respond in a timely manner to all internal stakeholder emails and Zoho Cliq messages.
- Learning and Development: Take initiative in self-directed learning and development to stay updated with industry trends and best practices. Encourage a culture of knowledge sharing among team members, fostering collaboration and continuous learning within the SEO team.
- Ideas and Innovations: Proactively contribute innovative ideas for process improvement and solving clients’ business problems.
- Feedback Management: Actively solicit feedback from Head of Digital Operations (HODO), Digital Operations Manager (DOM), Digital Account Manager(s) (DAMs), Web Development Manager (WDM), Team Lead – Design (TLD), Content Coordinator (CC), SEO Manager(s) (SEOMs), Assistant SEO Manager (ASEOM), Senior SEO Manager (SSEOM), SEO Team Lead(s) (SEOTLs) and Senior Leadership members to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Provide constructive feedback to team members to enhance their performance and professional development.
- Adherence to Scope of Work: Ensure all projects and tasks are completed within the defined scope, maintaining high standards of quality and meeting client expectations. If any client requests work outside the defined scope, obtain approval from the Head of Digital Operations (HODO) or Senior Leadership Team members before proceeding with the additional work.
- Report Vetting: Ensure all reports, data, and details shared with the SEO Team Lead(s) (SEOTLs), and Digital Account Manager(s) (DAMs) are vetted for accuracy and quality.
- Meeting Preparation: Prepare thoroughly for all internal meetings.
- Ad hoc Tasks: Willingly undertake any other tasks as assigned by the SEO Manager (SEOM), Assistant SEO Manager (ASEOM), Senior SEO Manager (SSEOM), SEO Team Lead (SEOTL), Digital Operations Manager (DOM), Head of Digital Operations (HODO) or Senior Management to support overall team objectives.

- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in SEO, with a proven track record in managing SEO projects and teams.
- Certifications: SEO certifications (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot SEO Certification) are preferred.
- SEO Expertise: In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, tools, and techniques, including keyword research, on-page and off-page optimization, link building, and technical SEO to analyze performance metrics and drive data-driven decisions.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic SEO plans, adapting to changing trends and client requirements to maximize ROI.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and quickly adapt to changes in project scope or client needs.
- Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in reporting and monitoring project performance.
- Content Strategy: Understanding of content marketing strategies and ability to review content for SEO compliance.

- Local SEO: Experience with local SEO strategies and tools, including Google My Business and local citation building.
