As a Business Development Executive (BDE) at Ralecon, you will be a vital contributor to our growth strategy by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities. Job summary
The Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for generating new business leads, managing the sales process from prospecting to closing, and achieving individual and team sales targets. You will work closely with the marketing, digital operations, and client delivery teams to align client needs with our offerings, ensuring a seamless transition from sales to project execution. Your expertise in digital marketing will be key in articulating the value of our services and fostering long-term partnerships with clients.
- Targets: Meet or exceed sales, lead conversion, and other performance targets as set by the Vice President – Business Development (VPBD) / Head – Business Development (HBD) or Senior Management.
- Lead Generation and Qualification: Identify and research potential clients through various channels, including online platforms, networking events, trade shows, and referrals. Qualify leads based on their potential fit with our services and their readiness to engage in discussions.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Develop and maintain a detailed sales pipeline in the CRM system, such as Zoho CRM or other lead management systems, tracking all interactions with prospects and clients. Monitor the progress of leads through the sales funnel, ensuring timely follow-ups and engagement.
- Client Engagement: Initiate and maintain contact with potential clients via cold calling, emailing, and social media outreach. Build rapport and trust with clients to understand their needs and position Ralecon’s services as effective solutions.
- Needs Assessment and Solution Development: Conduct in-depth assessments of client needs, challenges, and objectives to provide tailored digital marketing strategies. Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals that align with client requirements and showcase our expertise.
- Proposal Development and Presentation: Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and demonstrations that effectively communicate the value of our services. Use storytelling techniques and case studies to illustrate how Ralecon can address client needs and drive results.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and deliverables to secure mutually beneficial agreements. Ensure all terms are clearly defined and documented, minimising potential misunderstandings.
- Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and threats. Conduct market research to identify potential growth areas and inform strategic initiatives.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with all internal teams to align on lead generation strategies, campaigns, and promotional activities. Coordinate with design, content, web development, SEO, client delivery and other internal teams to ensure a seamless transition from sales to implementation.
- Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales activities, pipeline health, and revenue growth. Provide regular updates and reports to the Vice President – Business Development (VPBD) / Head – Business Development (HBD) or Senior Management on sales progress, challenges, and opportunities.
- Client Retention and Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business. Implement client feedback mechanisms to gather insights for continuous improvement. Identify upselling opportunities with existing clients to enhance account value and maximise revenue. Promote other digital service offerings of Ralecon to existing clients, ensuring they are aware of all available solutions that can meet their evolving needs.
- Meeting Preparation: Thoroughly prepare for client meetings by reviewing client profiles and past interactions; promptly share Minutes of Meeting (MoM) with all attendees post-meeting.
- Networking and Brand Promotion: Attend industry conferences, networking events, and seminars to promote Ralecon’s services and expand professional connections. Represent the company in a professional manner, building a positive brand image in the market.
- Formal Communication: Ensure all formal communication with clients and internal stakeholders is conducted professionally via email, responding promptly to inquiries.
- Follow-up Communication: Consistently follow up with potential and existing clients to ensure timely communication regarding project deliverables, proposals, and other key interactions.
- Feedback Management: Actively solicit feedback from clients and internal stakeholders to enhance service delivery and address any concerns. Use feedback to identify areas for improvement in processes and service offerings.
- Continuous Learning and Development: Take initiative in self-directed learning to stay updated with industry trends, digital marketing strategies, and business development best practices. Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Innovation and Ideas: Contribute innovative ideas for optimising the sales process and enhancing client engagement, ensuring continuous improvement in business development strategies.
- Task Management: Utilise Zoho Projects to manage and track assigned tasks effectively, ensuring all action items related to business development are completed within deadlines.
- Strategy and Growth: Propose strategic growth plans to enhance lead generation efforts and capitalise on new business opportunities within target markets.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Undertake any other tasks assigned by the Vice President – Business Development (VPBD) / Head – Business Development (HBD) or Senior Management to support overall team objectives and contribute to the company’s success.
You are the right fit, if you have
- Educational Background: A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred. An MBA is a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, preferably within the digital marketing or technology sector. A track record of successfully meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Digital Marketing Knowledge: Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, including SEO, SEM, content marketing, social media, and analytics.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence clients effectively. Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Networking Skills: Exceptional networking abilities with a proactive approach to building and nurturing professional relationships.
- Client Focus: A customer-centric mindset with a focus on understanding and meeting client needs, coupled with the ability to manage client expectations effectively.
